After celebrating our last and 10th mega event in June 2024, then lots of arm twisting and requests on hosting the Block Party! How could I say no!

History of 10 years of the Metro Mega Events 

​Its hard to believe that 2024 was our 10th Metro Gathering Mega Event,
it should be our 11th, but lets not talk about life in 2020.  

Our first year was in 2014 in Union County which we pulled off producing this new event in less the 5 months after HQ's approval. We spent the next 5 years, 2015 - 2019  at a larger venue at NJ State Waterloo Village which we produced some great themes, Historic Canal, Haunted Village,
Headless Horseman, Witches of Salem, and Pirates of  Port Royal.

In 2021 we moved the Mega event to a new location with our Middlesex County Partners at
historic East Jersey Old Town. We embraced NJ's American Revolution with mega themes in 2021 with NJ's American Revolution War history and in 2022 with Washington's Spies.
In 2023 we profiled NJ with theme with "Postcards from New Jersey" 
In 2024 the Mega event celebrated the "Tree of Life” with 10 years of interconnections of strength,
growth and friendship that has been made over the past ten years, and enjoyed by the
entire the geocaching community.

​Metro Gathering Mega Promotions

In 2017 We created the very popular search for the Golden Ticket promotion program, which started prior to each Mega event to get the mega event excitement building!  In 2021 we added a new game called "Capture The Flag", to find an American flag pathtag and pre order a limited coin. Both promotions are rewarded with a cool limited geocoin. In 2022 we continued the search for "Golden Spy Notes" and "Capture the Spy". ​In 2023 it was all about capturing the Jersey Devil and in 2024 hunt for Green Man!

Pre Mega Community Celebration!
at The Low House Friday Night
6/20/2025 
Everyone is welcome to come join The Pre~Metro Gathering Mega Meet and Greet located at this scenic historic property in Middlesex County NJ. Come and get into the American Patriot spirit, as the NJ's American Revolution Mega as the party starts the night before the big day.
PLEASE BRING POT LUCK FOOD AND DRINKS TO SHARE ~ BRING A CHAIR/TABLE TOO.
This event is outside on the lawn of this historic location, we will have some pop ups but limited on seating. We will keep the list of donated food for the picnic. Please post how many will attend and what you can bring to the picnic. Thank you!
Spend time to geo-chat, trackable exchanging and a chance to meet geocachers new to the area who have traveled to the event. Whether you are in the area seeking the numerous caches, interested in meeting new faces and welcoming them to NJ, hungry , or just need a place to unwind and relax - this is your opportunity.
